Steps To Take To Replace The Wheel End Cap On Hand Trucks

Tools Needed:

  • Hammer
  • Pliers
  • Flathead screwdriver
  • Replacement end cap (It must be exactly the same type of the replaced one. If you do not know what sort of end cap you are to use, pause after step 1 and take the removed end cap to a tool shop to get the exact replacement. If you can’t, you will need to order a  new one directly from your dealer.)

STEP 1

The end cap could either be a button-type or a snap on and off type. If it the snap on and off type there should be a notch between the end cap and the front part of the wheel. The end cap easily comes off if it is coaxed gently. Make use of your flathead screwdrivers to remove the end cap.

If you do not see a notch, use your pliers to hold the end cap and twist it off.

STEP 2

Put the newly replaced end cap at the middle of the wheel through the axle. Try with your hand first but if that doesn’t do it, you will need to use a hammer gently. Ensure it is as firm as the one you took out. If done rightly, you should feel a tiny click as it goes into place.
